What Information We Collect

We collect personal data only through the team registration form on our Register page. When a team coach submits this form, we collect:

Team name
Age group
Approximate number of players
Team coach’s first and last name
Team coach’s email address
Team coach’s phone number

We do not collect the names or personal data of individual players. We do not use any other forms, newsletters, or tracking tools to collect personal data on this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information submitted through the registration form to:

Process and confirm your team’s registration for Malaga Cup
Contact the team coach about tournament details, such as schedules, group draws, and logistics
Organize the competition, including grouping registered teams by age category

We do not use your data for marketing and we do not sell or rent it to any third party.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on your consent, given when you submit the registration form, and, where applicable, to take steps requested by you before entering into a contract related to your team’s participation.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Who Has Access to Your Data

Your registration data is stored on our website’s server through WPForms, the plugin we use to collect and manage form submissions, and is sent to us by email to notify us of new registrations. Only the Malaga Cup organizers have access to it. We do not share your data with any other third party, except where required by law. We take reasonable measures to keep your data secure against unauthorized access or loss.

Children’s Data

Malaga Cup is a tournament for youth players. However, our registration form does not collect any personal data about the players themselves. Only the team coach, who must be an adult, submits their own contact details on behalf of the team.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your registration data for 24 months after the relevant tournament edition, so we can handle any follow-up questions or future registrations, unless a longer period is required by law. After this, your data is deleted.
